In detail

LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law)

The LNAT is an admissions test for students applying to study law at selected UK universities. It does not test any legal knowledge. Instead, it checks how well you read, understand and judge arguments, and how clearly you can express your own.

The test has two sections: a multiple-choice section based on passages, and a short essay. It is computer-based and taken at Pearson VUE centres, and registration is separate from your UCAS application. Now Classes prepares you with live online classes that build the reading, reasoning and writing habits this test rewards.

Students from any curriculum, including CBSE, IB, British or American, can sit the test.

Section A is scored out of 42, while the essay is not scored by the test provider and is sent to your chosen universities to read. The whole test takes about 2 hours 15 minutes.
